Synopsis

"Clair Obscur" is a psychological thriller that follows the lives of two women from different social backgrounds in Istanbul. Elmas, a young woman from a conservative Muslim family, is a prison psychologist who struggles with her own traumatic past. On the other hand, Zeynep is a rebellious artist who leads a bohemian lifestyle. Their paths cross when Elmas is assigned to evaluate Zeynep, who has been arrested for political activism. As they spend more time together, they begin to form a deep connection that challenges their beliefs and identities. The film explores themes of freedom, oppression, and the complexities of human relationships in a society torn between tradition and modernity.
