Synopsis

Coming Home is a documentary film that follows DJ EFN and Garcia, two Cuban-American hip hop artists, as they travel to their ancestral homeland of Cuba for the very first time. The film chronicles their adventures and that of five friends accompanying them. Not only did DJ EFN and Garcia connect with their roots, they also found something very familiar to them: hip hop! The film features commentary from artists highly respected on both sides of the embargo. Artist such as N.O.R.E., M1 of Dead Prez, Thirstin Howl III give their thoughts on DJ EFN and the crews trip to Cuba and hip hop internationally. On the island the guys meet with Cuban artist such as Danay Suarez, Doble Filo, Real 70 and many others. In the end the group find themselves in a different world just 90 miles away from their home of Miami, Florida but regardless of how alien Cuba felt to them the common language of hip hop helped to bridge the gap and transcend any cultural and language barriers that may arise.
