Synopsis

"Crosstalk" is a science fiction novel written by Connie Willis. The story follows the protagonist, Briddey Flannigan, who works at a tech company that specializes in communication devices. Briddey decides to undergo a procedure called EED, which is supposed to enhance her telepathic abilities and improve her relationship with her boyfriend, Trent. However, things take a turn for the worse when Briddey starts hearing the thoughts of a coworker named C.B. and discovers a dangerous conspiracy within the company. As Briddey navigates the complexities of her new telepathic abilities and tries to uncover the truth, she must also confront her own insecurities and fears. Will she be able to save herself and those she cares about before it's too late?"
