Dandelion Dead is a British television drama based on the true story of Herbert Rowse Armstrong, a solicitor who was convicted of poisoning his wife with arsenic in 1921.
The story follows Armstrong as he becomes increasingly paranoid about his wife's spending habits and decides to take matters into his own hands. He begins to secretly administer small doses of arsenic to her, eventually leading to her death.
As suspicions arise and an investigation is launched, Armstrong's facade begins to crumble. Despite his attempts to cover up his crime, he is eventually arrested and put on trial for murder.
The series delves into the psychology of a man driven to commit a heinous crime and the lengths he will go to in order to avoid detection. It also explores the impact of his actions on those around him, including his family and colleagues.
