Synopsis

Meet Georgia Lass (who prefers to be called George). She is a young Seattle college dropout who is unhappy with life. She is always at odds with her mom, Joy.

One day coming back from her temp job as a filing clerk, she is hit by the toilet seat of the re-entering Space Station Mir. Finding out she is now dead, she is recruited to become a grim reaper.

As in life, she is a pain in the butt in death. She does not like the details of her job, and is always at loggerheads with her boss Rube. Her fellow grim reapers don't really take much of a liking to her either.

She also learns grim reapers don't even get a free ride in death, as they must hold down regular jobs along with their death duties.

The soundtrack of Dead Like Me failed to capture the emotional depth and complexity of the characters' experiences. The music felt generic and uninspired, lacking the ability to enhance the storytelling.

I found the soundtrack of Dead Like Me to be a unique blend of melancholy and dark humor that perfectly captured the tone of the show. The use of alternative rock and indie music added depth to the scenes and helped convey the complex emotions of the characters.

Charles Young

The music enhances the emotional depth of the characters and their struggles, adding another layer of complexity to their stories and making the audience feel more connected to them.

Linda Clark
8/10

The selection of songs in the soundtrack is diverse and eclectic, ranging from haunting melodies to upbeat tunes, creating a rich and immersive auditory experience that complements the visual storytelling of the series.

Michelle Scott
4/10

I found the musical choices to be jarring and out of place, often pulling me out of the immersion of the show rather than enhancing the atmosphere. It felt like a missed opportunity to use music as a powerful tool to evoke the dark humor and melancholy of the series.
