While I appreciated the atmospheric qualities of the soundtrack in The Frighteners, I felt that some of the musical choices were a bit generic and predictable. The use of typical horror movie tropes in the score, such as ominous strings and dramatic crescendos, at times felt cliché and uninspired. I wished for more originality and innovation in the music to match the film's unique blend of genres and storytelling.
