Death on a Factory Farm follows the undercover investigation of the Wiles Hog Farm by the animal rights group: The Humane Farming Association (HFA), and the court case ended against him. The organization received a tip from a farm employee that the animals were being abused, including one that the pigs were being hung by chains and strangled to death as a form of euthanasia. Horrible but true. HFA then turned to an investigator who went by the name "Pete." The investigator used a hidden camera while he was working undercover as a pawn on Wiles. Over the course of six weeks, the investigator secretly filmed numerous incriminating scenes, including piglets being thrown into crates from across a room, impregnated sows in pens impeding their ability to move, a sick piglet being slammed against a wall for euthanization, and a diseased sow hung from a forklift chain until she suffocated to death.
