Synopsis

Dickinson is a coming-of-age story that explores the constraints of society, gender, and family through the lens of rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson. Set in the 19th century, the series follows Emily as she navigates the expectations placed on her as a woman in a patriarchal society while also grappling with her own desires for independence and creative expression.

As Emily struggles to find her voice and assert her identity, she is confronted with the challenges of love, friendship, and ambition. With a modern sensibility and a unique blend of humor and drama, Dickinson offers a fresh perspective on the life and work of one of America's most iconic poets.
