Carlos Kindermann (Alvaro Muñoz) is a Swiss-Chilean citizen who travels to Chile to receive an inheritance after the death of his father. The lands he inherits are home to a mapuche community in the Araucanía region. There he will meet the Machi (Maria Porma) and Antilef (Joel Maripil) a community leader, who along with his people live in community and harmony with nature, the cosmos and their traditions. A senator (Luis Vitalino) wants to buy at all costs the lands of Carlos Kindermann whose health is deteriorating with the passing of days. Carlos will be faced with a lifestyle he did not know and whose experience and encounter will be decisive in his decision. These visions of the world that the film shows us, the capitalist on the one hand and the ancestral one in which the native peoples (mapuches) live, are after 500 years, still a conflict without solution in the southern Chile.
