Safa Habimana, a Muslim immigrant to Britain struggling to make ends meet, hopes that she and her troubled teenage son, Ayyash, will be reunited with her husband one day. However, with a lot of time on her hands, Ayyash soon finds the police on her doorstep and her desperate mother will have to take some drastic measures as a result. So, without delay, Safa makes an appointment with Nat, her Jewish boss and baker from her neighborhood, to beg him to take her son as her apprentice. Of course, new beginnings are often hard at first; But little by little, as Nat's business begins to flourish thanks to a revolutionary recipe, a strong bond will develop between them. But do you know that trouble is just around the corner?
