Once upon a time, in a small town called Lilypond, there was a Frog Crossing sign that had been there for as long as anyone could remember. The sign was placed near a pond where frogs would often cross the road, hopping from one side to the other.
One day, a new mayor came to town and decided that the Frog Crossing sign was unnecessary. He believed that the frogs could find another way to cross the road, and he ordered the sign to be taken down.
Without the sign, the frogs began to struggle crossing the road. Many of them were hit by passing cars, and the townspeople were saddened by the sight of the injured frogs. They realized that the Frog Crossing sign was important for the safety of the frogs.
The townspeople came together and protested against the mayor's decision. They demanded that the Frog Crossing sign be put back up, and the mayor finally agreed. From that day on, the frogs were able to cross the road safely once again, thanks to the Frog Crossing sign.
