Synopsis

Girl Walks Into a Bar is a story about an undercover ex-cop named Francine Driver, who poses as an assassin. One night, she meets a dentist named Nick in a Los Angeles bar. Nick wants his wife Karen dead, but he doesn't have the upfront payment of $20,000. However, he promises to get the money for Francine before the night is over.

After Nick leaves, Francine encounters a young man named Henry, a charming photographer who steals her wallet containing incriminating evidence. This sets off Francine's frantic search through the bars and clubs of Los Angeles.

As Francine journeys, she meets a variety of characters, including Henry's sister Teresa, an exotic dancer, and their father Dodge, an ex-con with a strange fixation on bones. Nick's patient Aldo, a gangster, offers to help Nick get the money through a heist. Camilla, a bartender, is dealing with relationship problems with her divorced neighbor upstairs. June works as a hatcheck girl at an exclusive nude ping pong club. Francine's superior, Sam Salazar, is a detective who is always addressed as Officer. And lastly, Francine's ex-husband Emmit has something she wants.
