Synopsis

Thirteen-year-old Brian Robeson is on his way to visit his father in the Canadian oil fields when the pilot of his small plane suffers a heart attack and dies. Brian must crash-land the plane in a lake in the Canadian wilderness.

Alone in the forest with only a hatchet given to him by his mother, Brian must learn to survive. He faces challenges such as finding food, building shelter, and defending himself against wild animals.

As Brian struggles to stay alive, he discovers inner strength and resourcefulness he never knew he had.

Hatchet is a gripping tale of survival and self-discovery as Brian fights to overcome the harsh realities of the wilderness and find a way back home.
