Synopsis

"Heroin(e)" is a documentary that follows the lives of three women in Huntington, West Virginia, who are working to combat the opioid epidemic in their community. Jan Rader, a fire chief, is on the front lines of responding to overdoses and saving lives. Necia Freeman, a realtor, drives around the city providing food and supplies to those struggling with addiction. Patricia Keller, a judge, runs a drug court program that offers rehabilitation instead of jail time. Together, these women are dedicated to making a difference and saving lives in a city that has been deeply affected by addiction.
