Synopsis

Maddie Young, a deaf-mute horror author, has decided to live alone in an isolated cottage in the woods, far from the commotion of the city. A terrifying mask-wearing attacker breaks into her haven, turning her calm existence into a nightmare. Maddie is unaware of how vulnerable she is due to her inability to hear or talk, which makes her the ideal victim for this persistent intruder. In a terrible struggle for her life as the tension mounts, Maddie is left to use her cunning and scant supplies to elude her unrelenting assailant. Her tenacity and creativity are put to the test on a heart-pounding basis at every turn.

The haunting and suspenseful music perfectly captures the isolation and vulnerability of the main character, Maddie Young, in Hush.

Joshua Thomas

The choice of instrumentation in the soundtrack did not align well with the eerie atmosphere of the film. Instead of enhancing the sense of dread and fear, the music often felt out of place, diminishing the overall impact of the scenes and failing to create a truly immersive viewing experience.

Thomas Taylor

The lack of variety in the musical themes throughout the film made the soundtrack monotonous and repetitive. I found myself tuning out the background music rather than being drawn into the intensity of Maddie's harrowing ordeal.

The soundtrack of Hush failed to effectively capture the tension and suspense of the protagonist's terrifying situation. The music felt generic and uninspired, missing the opportunity to enhance the audience's experience of Maddie's desperate struggle for survival.
