Synopsis

Import Export is a film directed by Ulrich Seidl that follows the lives of two characters, Olga and Pauli, who are both seeking better opportunities in their respective countries.

Olga, a nurse from Ukraine, travels to Vienna to work as a cleaner in order to support her family back home. She faces challenges and discrimination in her new environment, but remains determined to succeed.

On the other hand, Pauli, an Austrian security guard, travels to Ukraine to find work and escape his troubled past. He also encounters difficulties and cultural differences in his new surroundings.

The film explores themes of globalization, migration, and the human desire for a better life through the parallel stories of Olga and Pauli as they navigate the challenges of working in foreign countries.
