Synopsis

Insecure is a comedy-drama series that follows the life of Issa Dee, a young African-American woman navigating through her personal and professional struggles in Los Angeles. Issa works at a non-profit organization and is in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend Lawrence, but she feels unsatisfied with her job and her relationship. As she tries to figure out her place in the world, Issa also deals with insecurities about her appearance, her friendships, and her future. With the help of her best friend Molly, Issa tries to find her voice and her confidence in a world that constantly challenges her.
