Judging Amy is a drama series that follows the life of Amy Gray, a single mother and a recently divorced young judge who moves back to her childhood home in Hartford, Connecticut. As she navigates her new role on the bench, Amy also faces the challenges of raising her young daughter, Lauren, and dealing with her opinionated mother, Maxine, who is a social worker.
Throughout the series, Amy presides over a variety of cases that often blur the lines between right and wrong. She must balance her personal life with her professional responsibilities, all while trying to make a difference in the lives of those who come before her in court.
As Amy grapples with difficult decisions and moral dilemmas, she relies on the support of her family and friends, including her brother Vincent, her best friend Bruce, and her colleague and former flame, Michael. Together, they help Amy navigate the complexities of the legal system and the challenges of being a working mother.
