KADE (La Vida) Soundtrack (2020)

Synopsis

César Juragaro was born in the heart of the Colombian Amazon rainforest. Among his traditional and ancestral learning, he ran into the fascination with the Catholic religion and theological study. Learning to coexist and reflect on both knowledge, this man began a personal and intimate journey to wonder how his indigenous knowledge could enter into dialogue with traditional religious knowledge. That was how, with thousands of kilometers traveled and constant questions, César arrived at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana - Bogotá, to pursue his Masters in Theology. There he discovered, thanks to the infinite possibilities that opened before him for reflection, the possibility of articulating two ancient myths that surrounded him: the myth of indigenous creation and the myth of Christian creation.César decided to take a research trip to find common factors that would account for that CREATION in both cultures. The presence, according to his words, of a God capable of being alive in the genesis of both cultures. Once the project was advanced, César had a mission: to consult with his neighbors and ancestors if the research was appropriate and they allow him to publish it. It was the search for a permit. César had to introduce himself, as he had not done for many years, to his community to ask for that guarantee from them. The return to his region is a magical journey: jungles, rivers, airstrips in the middle of thick forests, a community eager to hear the word of the one who returns with his work of years. And an ancestral territory loaded with magic and energy, they received it so that he could share to his community everything he learned and wants to leave as a legacy.Between rituals, parties and meetings among countrymen, César exposes his thesis always appealing to the benevolence of his community. In the end, his people should give him - or not - a free way to continue his research.
