Synopsis

Kilimanjaro is a short story written by Ernest Hemingway. The story follows the journey of Harry, a wealthy man who is dying of gangrene while on a safari in Africa. As Harry's health deteriorates, he reflects on his life and regrets, particularly his failed marriage and lost opportunities. Despite his physical pain, Harry remains determined to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, a symbol of his lost youth and vitality. In the end, Harry dies before reaching the summit, but his spirit is said to live on in the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro.
