King of the Airways Soundtrack (1994)

Synopsis

Louis Jobin is obsessed with television. He is a home electronics salesman, watches television whenever he can, and dreams of being on television in whatever capacity he can. His dream comes true when he wins the Big Star contest, the winner to be filmed twenty-four hours a day for three months straight, the show to be aired live on Channel 19 Montréal. Unbeknown to Louis or any of the other contestants, the television executives were looking for the most plain, real person to star in this reality series. Louis, the television personality, takes all of Montréal by storm, everyone, especially his mother Aline, who uses Louis for garnering their own fifteen minutes of fame. Eventually, continual access to Louis may be too much of a good thing, both for him and for the viewing public. The one person who does seem sincere in liking Louis for who he is is aspiring actress Julie Leduc, or does she too have ulterior motives?
