Synopsis

The first chapter in the story of Salvation. Rather than choosing a great leader or king, God chooses Abraham, an elderly shepherd from Mesopotamia, as the way to establish his Covenant with mankind ...

Abraham is a man of great faith. After his calling he continues to believe in God even when He seems to have abandoned him. For Abraham, God's greatest promise is that his family will continue through the line of Isaac, Abraham's favourite son. However God presents him with a tremendous test by asking him to sacrifice of Isaac. Is Abraham willing to put God first? Even before the life of his son?

The use of traditional Middle Eastern instruments in the soundtrack adds an authentic and immersive touch to the storytelling, transporting the listeners to the ancient world of Mesopotamia.

Melissa Robinson
3/10

I found the choice of musical instruments in the soundtrack to be jarring and out of place, detracting from the overall viewing experience. The use of modern or inappropriate instruments took away from the authenticity and historical setting of the story, making it difficult to fully immerse myself in the narrative.

Mary Robinson
8/10

The score's ability to evoke a sense of spiritual contemplation and introspection mirrors Abraham's profound connection with the divine and his willingness to put God above all else.

On the other hand, some parts of the soundtrack can feel repetitive and overly dramatic. While the music effectively underscores the pivotal moments of Abraham's story, there are instances where it becomes predictable and fails to offer new insights or emotional nuances. A more varied approach to composition and instrumentation could have elevated the overall listening experience and provided a richer tapestry of sound to accompany Abraham's spiritual odyssey.

Richard Lee
7/10

The music beautifully conveys the emotional depth of Abraham's character, showcasing his unwavering belief in God even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges.
