Synopsis

"Lorna's Silence" is a story about Sokol and Lorna, two Albanian emigrants in Belgium, who have a dream of leaving their dreary jobs to set up a snack bar. They need money and a permanent resident status to make their dream a reality.

Claudy, a junkie, is in need of money to satisfy his addiction. Andrei, a cigarette smuggler, is in need of holding up outside Russia for a while and has loads of money. Fabio, an Italian taxi driver and aspiring gang boss, comes up with a clever scheme.

He plans to pay Claudy to marry Lorna so that she can acquire Belgian citizenship. Then, Lorna is to re-marry Andrei, who will then obtain the coveted EU passport. In return, Fabio and Lorna will receive a hefty price for their services.

However, like all plans, this one will not survive the contact with reality.
