Synopsis

Life on Mars is a science fiction drama television series that follows detective Sam Tyler as he wakes up in 1973 after being hit by a car in 2006. He finds himself in a different time period and struggles to understand what has happened to him.

As Sam tries to navigate this new reality, he must work with his new colleagues in the police department, including the rough and tough Gene Hunt. Together, they solve crimes and try to uncover the truth behind Sam's time travel.

Throughout the series, Sam grapples with the question of whether he is really in the past or if he is in a coma dreaming about the past. The show explores themes of identity, reality, and the nature of time.
