Synopsis

Little Buddha is a film directed by Bernardo Bertolucci that tells the story of a young boy named Jesse who is believed to be the reincarnation of a Tibetan monk.

When a group of Buddhist monks visit Seattle in search of the boy, they find Jesse and his family and invite them to visit Nepal to confirm his identity.

As Jesse learns about Buddhism and the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, he begins to question his own identity and purpose in life.
