Synopsis

Love's Kitchen is no popcorn movie but Michelin star film cuisine. The story revolves around a chef, Rob Hayley (Dougray Scott), who lost his creative touch after the tragic death of his beloved wife in a car crash. He decides to 'retire' with his young daughter to the countryside, where he meets a charming critic named Kate Templeton (Claire Forlani) who challenges his culinary expertise.

Rob regains his passion for cooking as he creates unique and scrumptious dishes to impress Kate, and his local pub restaurant starts attracting customers from far and wide. However, his happiness is short-lived as a nasty rival lover and cranky locals join forces to threaten the closure of his business.

His only hope lies in winning praise on national TV from a visiting critic (Simon Callow). The film offers a taste of English country fare, featuring dishes like fresh lemon sole, salmon mousse, and the quintessentially English dessert, fruit trifle made with the finest sherry and topped with irresistible cream laced with Cognac.
