Synopsis

Mars Attacks! is a 1996 American science fiction comedy film directed by Tim Burton. The film is a parody of science fiction B movies and features an ensemble cast including Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Annette Bening, Pierce Brosnan, Danny DeVito, Martin Short, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michael J. Fox, Rod Steiger, Tom Jones, Lukas Haas, Natalie Portman, Jim Brown, Lisa Marie Smith, and Sylvia Sidney.

The story revolves around an alien invasion of Earth, and the efforts of a disparate group of people to save the planet. The Martians land in the Nevada desert and quickly begin attacking humans with their advanced technology. As chaos ensues, the President of the United States, played by Nicholson, tries to negotiate with the Martians while a group of misfits and oddballs band together to fight back.
