Synopsis

The unsuccessful actor Willi Gimmel survived as a prompter at the theater on water. When he loses his job, he is promptly hired by a department store as "actors". He is said to mimic the lightning rod for angry customers so that they get the impression that the business would take their complaint seriously. Henceforth Willi slips from one panel to the next. But what department he also appears, he leaves behind chaos. His wife, mom, where he still lives believes further on a big stage career of her obedient son. From his double life she has no idea. When Willi also gets to know the attractive barmaid Rosi, his life is finally out of joint.
