Synopsis

Miracle on Ice is a sports film that tells the story of the United States men's ice hockey team at the 1980 Winter Olympics. The team, made up of amateur and collegiate players, faced off against the heavily favored Soviet Union team in the semi-finals.

The Soviet Union team was considered unbeatable, having won the gold medal in the previous four Olympics. However, the young American team, led by coach Herb Brooks, pulled off a stunning upset with a final score of 4-3.

The victory was dubbed the "Miracle on Ice" and is considered one of the greatest moments in sports history. The United States went on to win the gold medal by defeating Finland in the final, solidifying their place in Olympic history.
