Wolfi invites his childhood friends, Viktor, Martin and Ralphs, whom he has not seen in 20 years, to his property in Provence. His 45th birthday is to be celebrated together, with a butler and two young playmates by the pool. Viktor is already called "Ficktor" as a greeting in reference to the old days. He gets angry calls from his boss all the time because the PR text he is supposed to write is not good. So he can not dedicate himself to his heavily pregnant wife Sima. Martin is worried about money and sends his son over to pretend to be heart sick. His operation would cost a handsome sum, but without it the boy would have to die. In Ralph's marriage to the psychotherapist Ruth, there is a great crisis. Ruth openly attacks Wolfi for his lustful, vulgar language, but the men envy the host, who has so much coal and not a family that spoils his fun. Wolfi has planned hearty amusements, but also has an old bill for his friends.
