Synopsis

Death on the Nile is a mystery novel by Agatha Christie, first published in 1937. The story follows the famous detective Hercule Poirot as he investigates a murder that takes place during a cruise on the Nile River.

The novel begins with Poirot on vacation in Egypt, where he meets a wealthy heiress named Linnet Ridgeway. Linnet is on her honeymoon with her new husband, Simon Doyle, but their happiness is soon shattered when a former lover of Linnet's is found dead on the cruise ship.

As Poirot delves into the case, he uncovers a web of jealousy, betrayal, and deceit among the passengers on the ship. Suspects abound, and Poirot must use all of his skills to unravel the mystery and identify the killer before they strike again.

Death on the Nile is a classic whodunit that keeps readers guessing until the very end. With its exotic setting, colorful characters, and clever plot twists, it is considered one of Christie's best works.
