Synopsis

Mortal Engines is a science fiction novel set in a post-apocalyptic world where cities are now mobile and roam the Earth on wheels, preying on smaller towns for resources. The story follows a young historian named Tom Natsworthy who gets caught up in a conspiracy when he uncovers a dangerous secret about a powerful city called London.
