Synopsis

Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm is an animated series based on the popular video game franchise, Mortal Kombat. The show follows a group of warriors known as the Defenders of the Realm who must protect Earthrealm from the forces of Outworld.

The Defenders of the Realm are led by the legendary Liu Kang, who is joined by Sonya Blade, Jax, Kitana, and Sub-Zero. Together, they must battle the evil sorcerer Shao Kahn and his minions in order to prevent Outworld from conquering Earthrealm.

Throughout the series, the Defenders face numerous challenges and enemies, including the deadly ninja clan known as the Lin Kuei and the powerful sorcerer Quan Chi. As they fight to protect Earthrealm, the Defenders must also confront their own personal demons and past traumas.
