Synopsis

My Best Friend's Wedding

Synopsis:

Julianne Potter (played by Julia Roberts) is a successful food critic who realizes she is in love with her best friend, Michael O'Neal (played by Dermot Mulroney). When Michael announces he is getting married to someone else, Julianne decides she must stop the wedding and win him back.

Julianne enlists the help of her gay friend, George Downes (played by Rupert Everett), to pose as her fiancé and make Michael jealous. As the wedding day approaches, Julianne's plan starts to unravel as she begins to question her true feelings and the consequences of her actions.

Will Julianne be able to win Michael back, or will she realize that true love means wanting the best for the person you care about, even if it's not with you?
