We found this movie lacking any compassion. The characters in it seem to just be wondering around without any purpose - the plot is simply shallow and lacked focus. The two main characters the brother and sister who arrived from Poland are portrayed as very close to each other. However the brother, who is older, ditches his sister for a tempting offer to join the Kibbutz. He returns back to her when the sister puts things back in perspective about their past together. Really? I find it hard to believe that two sibling who are close and survived the Holocaust would so easily part after what they have been through. Sure, he did attempt once to bring his sister on board but when that failed she literally became none existant to him. The movie ends with the brother and sister seeking another new land after they are fed up with their mistreatment. I really liked the flying bear touch who takes them to a new destination (NOT) - Back to Europe perhaps? Most men in this movie are portrayed as irresponsible selfish cheaters. This movie is without doubt biased.
