Next Minute is an independent short film about the power of music and the importance of hopefulness. It tells the stories of an expatriate in China, a Beijing Opera singer and a divorced man, and how music touches their souls as they go through their highs and lows and the most unexpected. Filmed in Beijing, it took three years from script-writing to finish. It's Hong Kong woman director and screenwriter Wun Yip's directorial debut. Original music of blues and ska tunes were composed by Californian musicians and produced in Beijing, along with performance of Peking Opera, it is an international collaborative effort and a highly original musical film. This film is dedicated to musicians and to those who has ever been moved by music.
