Synopsis

The reporter Dean Miller is assigned with his cameraman to interview a scientist that is arriving in the local airport. While waiting for the arrival, an unidentified Hercules makes an emergency landing and is surrounded by a military force. When the doors open, a legion of blood thirsty creatures commanded by the scientist attack the soldiers, killing them with hatchets and drinking their blood. Dean tries to warn the population about the happening but is censored by General Murchison.

Later the military leaders discover that the creatures have not come from the outer space, but are human beings contaminated by radiation and needing to drink blood to stay undead. Dean unsuccessfully calls his wife Dr. Anna Miller and heads to the hospital where she works, trying to escape from the city crowded of the increasing walking dead creatures.

The soundtrack of Nightmare City effectively captures the tension and chaos of the unfolding events in the film. The use of eerie synths and discordant melodies enhances the sense of dread and impending danger as the creatures attack the soldiers and the city descends into chaos. The music sets the tone for the horror elements of the movie and keeps the audience on edge throughout.

On the other hand, while the soundtrack effectively conveys the sense of horror and urgency in Nightmare City, it can sometimes feel repetitive and lacks variety in its compositions. The constant use of similar musical motifs and tones can become predictable and diminish the impact of certain scenes. A more diverse and dynamic soundtrack could have further enhanced the emotional impact of the film and added depth to the overall viewing experience.

The soundtrack of Nightmare City fails to capture the intensity and suspense of the film's plot. Instead of enhancing the horror elements, the music often feels generic and uninspired, missing opportunities to create a truly unsettling atmosphere.

Despite the chaotic and gruesome scenes depicted in Nightmare City, the soundtrack lacks the emotional depth and complexity needed to convey the desperation and fear experienced by the characters. The music feels disconnected from the on-screen action, failing to evoke genuine feelings of terror and suspense in the audience.
