Office Killer

Synopsis

Office Killer is a dark comedy film that follows the story of Dorine Douglas (Carol Kane), a mousey introvert copy editor who has been working at Constant Consumer magazine for 16 years. After being downsized and set up with a laptop for part-time work-at-home, Dorine is faced with taking care of her invalid mother.

One night, Dorine is called into the office to help writer Gary Michaels (David Thornton) fix his computer, but he is accidentally electrocuted. Feeling lonely, Dorine decides to take Gary's body home to her basement, where she lives with her mother.

When publisher Virginia (Barbara Sukowa) orders Dorine to work with pushy Kim Poole (Molly Ringwald) to re-write Gary's lead story, Dorine adds Virginia's body to the collection in her basement. Co-worker Norah Reed (Jeanne Tripplehorn) befriends Dorine, but Dorine decides she needs more friends at home.

Computer tech Daniel (Michael Imperioli) becomes suspicious of the disappearances at the office and investigates, leading to a dramatic conclusion.
