Synopsis

L'amico di Wang is a novel written by Italian author Alberto Moravia. The story follows the life of a young Chinese man named Wang who moves to Italy to study. Wang quickly becomes friends with a group of Italian students, including the protagonist, Carlo. Despite their cultural differences, Wang and Carlo form a strong bond and share many experiences together.

One day, Wang confides in Carlo about his struggles with loneliness and homesickness. Carlo, feeling empathy for his friend, decides to help Wang feel more at home in Italy. Together, they explore the city, try new foods, and learn about each other's cultures.

As their friendship deepens, Wang begins to feel more comfortable in his new surroundings. However, their friendship is tested when Wang's visa expires and he faces the possibility of being deported. Carlo must decide whether to help his friend or abide by the law.
