Synopsis

Portal 2 is a first-person puzzle-platform video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. It is the sequel to the 2007 game Portal and was released in April 2011 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

The game takes place in the Aperture Science Enrichment Center, where players control Chell, a test subject forced to complete a series of puzzles using the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device (portal gun). The game introduces new gameplay elements, such as gels that can change the properties of surfaces, and introduces new characters, including Wheatley, a personality core who helps Chell escape from the facility.

Portal 2 received critical acclaim for its gameplay, writing, and voice acting, with many praising its humor and puzzle design. The game's cooperative mode allows two players to solve puzzles together, adding to the replay value of the game.
