Pure Country is a 1992 American dramatic musical film directed by Christopher Cain. The film stars country music singer George Strait as Dusty Chandler, a famous country music singer who becomes disillusioned with his success and decides to return to his roots.
After a concert in Las Vegas, Dusty walks away from the spotlight and goes back to his hometown in Texas. There, he reconnects with his roots and rediscovers his love for traditional country music.
