Synopsis

"Schooled" is a novel written by Gordon Korman. The story follows Capricorn Anderson, a 13-year-old boy who has been homeschooled his whole life by his hippie grandmother, Rain. However, when Rain falls out of a tree and is hospitalized, Cap is forced to attend Claverage Middle School.

At Claverage, Cap's unconventional ways and lack of knowledge about social norms make him an easy target for bullies. Despite this, Cap's positive attitude and unique perspective begin to win over his classmates, including the popular Zach Powers.

As Cap navigates the challenges of middle school, he also learns more about his own past and the reasons why his grandmother chose to keep him isolated from the outside world. Through his experiences at Claverage, Cap teaches his classmates and teachers valuable lessons about acceptance, friendship, and staying true to oneself.

"Schooled" is a heartwarming and humorous story about the power of kindness and the importance of being true to oneself, no matter what others may think.
