Seventeen-year-old Farley has led a sheltered life, raised on a homeschooling diet, organic living, and trips to the art gallery. To the dismay of her parents, Farley loves to play sparkle with the rats at the local track. To his even greater dismay, Farley is scouted and signed by the owner (Stephen McHattie) to a junior league team, where he becomes an instant star. But Farley discovers that stardom comes at a price, including the expectation of fighting on ice. He adds a changing relationship with his best friend (Allie MacDonald), and Farley finds himself ruined the course.
