Shag is a coming-of-age film set in the summer of 1963 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The story follows four teenage girls - Carson, Melaina, Pudge, and Luanne - as they navigate love, friendship, and independence during their last weekend together before heading off to college.
Carson is the main character, a smart and ambitious girl who is torn between her desire to please her parents and her longing for freedom. Melaina is the wild child of the group, always looking for a good time and never afraid to break the rules. Pudge is the sweet and naive one, who is eager to experience new things but is also afraid of stepping out of her comfort zone. Luanne is the flirtatious and confident one, who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it.
As the girls spend their days at the beach, dancing at the local club, and getting into mischief, they learn valuable lessons about love, friendship, and the importance of staying true to themselves. Shag is a fun and heartwarming film that captures the spirit of youth and the excitement of growing up.
