Synopsis

"Should the Wind Drop" is a film that tells the story of a young woman named Alina who works as an interpreter for a European delegation visiting a remote airport in the Caucasus region. The airport is set to be closed down due to lack of passengers, but Alina discovers that the closure will have devastating consequences for the local community. As she tries to convince the delegation to keep the airport open, she also forms a bond with a local boy named Semyon who dreams of becoming a pilot. The film explores themes of cultural differences, communication, and the impact of globalization on small communities.
