Synopsis

Some Folks Call It a Sling Blade is a short film directed by George Hickenlooper and written by Billy Bob Thornton. The film follows the story of Karl Childers, a man who has spent most of his life in a mental institution after committing a gruesome murder as a child. As Karl is released from the institution, he struggles to adjust to life on the outside and forms a bond with a young boy named Frank.
