Synopsis:

When high school senior Jasmine de los Santos finds out she is a National Scholar, she is ecstatic. But her joy is short-lived when she discovers that her family is undocumented immigrants. As she struggles to keep her scholarship and her dreams of attending college alive, Jasmine must navigate the complexities of being an undocumented immigrant in America.

With the threat of deportation looming over her family, Jasmine must find a way to reconcile her identity as an American with her family's status. Along the way, she must confront her own biases and prejudices, and learn to stand up for what she believes in.
