Synopsis

Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat is a 1989 American vampire comedy film directed by Anthony Hickox. The film follows a group of vampires who decide to live in a small town in the American Southwest and try to live peacefully among humans.

The vampires, led by Count Mardulak, have renounced their violent ways and have developed a synthetic blood substitute to sustain themselves. However, their peaceful existence is threatened when a group of vampire hunters arrive in town, led by the ruthless Reverend Pruitt.

As tensions rise between the vampires and the vampire hunters, a young human named Sarah becomes caught in the middle of the conflict. She must navigate the dangerous world of vampires and humans while trying to protect her own life.
