Synopsis

Survivor is a reality TV show that aired in the spring of 2000. Sixteen average Americans were divided into two tribes on the deserted island of Pulau Tiga for 39 days.

During their stay, they must learn to live as a tribe, but eventually, it becomes everyone for themselves. They compete in challenges for "luxuries" like a barbecue or a phone call home, as well as for immunity.

Every three days, the losers of the challenges must face tribal council, where they will account for their actions by voting one person off the island. The last survivor standing after 39 days will leave with one million dollars.

The show is based on the Swedish game show "Operation Robinson" and has become a popular reality TV competition.
