Synopsis

Satantango is a Hungarian novel written by László Krasznahorkai. The story follows the residents of a small, decaying village as they await the return of a mysterious character named Irimiás. As they struggle with poverty, despair, and betrayal, their lives become intertwined in a web of deception and manipulation.

As Irimiás arrives in the village, he promises the residents a better future and convinces them to give up their meager possessions. However, it soon becomes clear that Irimiás has his own agenda, and the villagers find themselves caught in a sinister plot that will change their lives forever.
